POS 0.1.0Oct 9, 2026

Safari POS for hotel bars, restaurants and pool decks

Safari POS is a native touch app for hotel outlets. It talks to Safari PMS directly, so room charges, staff meals and end-of-day numbers land in the same ledger as the front desk, without re-keying.

New & Improved:

  • Activation: Scan a QR code from Safari PMS, pick the hotel and outlet, and the terminal is assigned.
  • Ordering: Floor plan with live table status, category rail, product grid, line notes and one-tap send to bar or kitchen.
  • Payments: Cash with change, card, transfer, split tender, staff allowance and room charge to an in-house guest's folio.
  • Business day: Cash count with variance reason, Z report and close, plus sales reports with CSV export.
  • Printing: Network printers, receipt preview, reprint, cash drawer and per-category kitchen routing.
  • Staff: Operators unlock with a PIN; roles decide who can void, discount or close the day.

Reliability:

  • Offline cash: When the network drops, cash sales are queued on the terminal and reviewed once they sync.
  • Corrections: Refunds, reversals, voids and discounts are separate actions, each with a reason.
  • Kiosk input: A built-in on-screen keyboard means terminals work without a physical keyboard.

v3.17.0Apr 27, 2024

Safari Agent becomes the main product surface

Safari Agent now sits at the center of the PMS experience. It reads the selected hotel scope and helps operators reason about reservations, guests, rooms, payments, housekeeping, and daily operations.

New & Improved:

  • Agent: Safari Agent can answer within the active hotel scope.
  • Operations: Front desk, reservations, occupancy, and guest questions can now be handled from one command layer.
  • Payments: Folio and payment context is part of the operator workspace.
  • Setup: Room, room type, user, and hotel setup flows remain inside the same PMS shell.

Fixes:

  • Navigation: PMS screens stay connected while the landing page is separated into its own marketing surface.
  • Hotel scope: Agent answers are designed around the selected hotel, not global unscoped data.
  • Performance: PMS pages are being simplified so repeat navigation feels instant.
  • UX: Loading skeletons and unnecessary wait states are being removed from operational screens.

Live PMS foundation

SafariPMS brings the daily hotel operation into one system: reservations, front desk, guests, rooms, room types, occupancy, housekeeping, folios, payments, POS, reports, and night audit.

Use Safari to advance:

  • Front desk speed: See the right reservation and guest context while handling arrivals and departures.
  • Room control: Keep room inventory, room types, and housekeeping conditions clear.
  • Financial visibility: Connect folios, payments, refunds, and POS activity to the same hotel operation.
  • Agent guidance: Ask what to do next and move into the matching workflow with context.
  • Operational clarity: Summarize today, this week, or a specific guest without leaving the PMS.
